Michael Callen (April 11, 1955 - December 27, 1993) was a singer, songwriter, composer, author, and AIDS activist. He was the important designer of the response to the Helps crisis in the United States.
Number one diagnosed by having "Gay Related Immune Deficiency" inside 1982, Callen quickly became a leader in the response to the epidemic, coining the sentence "people with AIDS (PWAs)" inside counterpoint to the so-todays "AIDS victims".
